Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella has hinted at a possible return to wrestling after watching independent wrestler B3CCA use a move resembling her Code of Silence submission on Kris Statlander during AEW Collision.
Posting on social media, Carmella drew a line between homage and theft, clarified she never retired but had two children, and suggested she might come back to show current talent how it’s done.
Carmella has not wrestled since March 2023, when she appeared on a Road to WrestleMania house show at Madison Square Garden, teaming with Damage CTRL members Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Piper Niven.
Although her reaction came in response to AEW content, there is no indication she is signing with the company. There is also no confirmed timeline for a WWE return.
