A second fan has come forward alleging that CM Punk physically assaulted him at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 weekend. TMZ has obtained 911 audio from the April 20 incident, which is separate from the previously reported encounter where Punk knocked a phone out of a fan’s hand after the man followed Bayley and AJ Lee into an elevator bank.
In the new recording, a Spanish-speaking caller, assisted by a female interpreter, identifies Punk as the aggressor and says the wrestler shoved him in the chest when he approached hoping for an autograph. The caller described the incident in Spanish as a violent assault, though the interpreter’s translation did not include the words “violently” or “assault.” He also described Punk’s face as red and full of anger during the encounter.
Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the disturbance and spoke with all three parties involved. No report was filed, and Punk was free to leave.
The incident is part of a broader pattern of complaints from WWE talent about insufficient hotel security throughout the weekend, with fans having unrestricted access to common areas including the lobby and elevator banks. Booker T said a fan filmed him in the bathroom, while Sean Waltman revealed he was physically assaulted and had a camera shoved in his face. Damian Priest also stepped in to help a female WWE talent get away from fans.
Fightful reported that the environment was being compared internally to WCW backstage, with talent across multiple locker rooms in agreement that TKO and WWE need to invest in proper hotel security at major events going forward.
