Rey Fenix appears to have publicly aired some frustration about his current WWE booking, doing it while reacting to news about his brother Penta. Penta has become one of Monday Night Raw’s biggest babyfaces, scoring major wins over Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Kofi Kingston, retaining the Intercontinental Championship in a chaotic ladder match at WrestleMania 42, and now preparing to defend the title against Ethan Page at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23.
When WWE posted the news of Penta’s upcoming defense, Fenix responded with a comment of his own on his X account.
“I love my brother, but i will like to have my chance. 🙌🏻 #AN1M0”
The tweet drew immediate attention because Fenix has barely been featured on SmackDown despite arriving with significant hype following his AEW exit. Since debuting, he has lost roughly half of his matches, has not captured a singles title, and is not currently involved in any major storyline. His last proper televised WWE match came on SmackDown in February, when he lost to Trick Williams.
Whether the post is genuine frustration or simply Fenix angling for an Intercontinental Title shot is unclear, but the contrast between the brothers’ current WWE pushes has been hard for fans to miss.
