Mike Santana’s TNA contract is set to expire sometime in July, per PWInsider. The report noted that WWE has shown interest in Santana in the past, and he has made several NXT appearances through the TNA/WWE working relationship.
Santana filed to trademark the name “Mike Santana” under his real name, Mark Sanchez Jr., on May 5 — three weeks after the contract expiration report first surfaced.
Santana returned to TNA in April 2024 after requesting his release from AEW to pursue a singles career. He and Ortiz previously held the TNA Tag Team Championships four times. He defeated Trick Williams to win his first TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory in 2025 and is currently in his second reign.
