Deonna Purrazzo was injured during a ROH Women’s Pure Championship defense against Steph de Lander at Tuesday’s ROH tapings in Jacksonville, Florida. Per fan account Jacob Cohen, who was in attendance, the match was stopped after Purrazzo was hurt on a spot on the floor. “Deonna got hurt on a spot on the floor. The match was ruled a no contest and Deonna was helped to the back. Hopefully she’s ok,” Cohen wrote. Her current condition has not been confirmed and no further update has been issued.
Purrazzo won the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Championship by defeating Billie Starkz in a tournament final at Final Battle in December 2025. She has made six successful defenses since, including wins over Trish Adora, Giselle Shaw, and Isla Dawn across regular defenses and Proving Ground matches.
Tuesday’s match was de Lander’s first in ROH in over three years. Her only previous appearance for the company was a loss to Willow Nightingale in April 2023.
The injury comes at a difficult time for AEW and ROH. Both Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen of Private Party sustained injuries in the same match in March and remain on the sideline. Willow Nightingale relinquished the AEW TBS Championship in May due to a shoulder injury. Callum Newman of United Empire suffered what appeared to be a shoulder dislocation at NJPW Dominion earlier this month, potentially affecting his Forbidden Door plans.
