WWE and FIFA have reached an agreement to show England’s FIFA World Cup match against Ghana live at the O2 Arena during Tuesday’s SmackDown taping in London. It will be the first time a football match has been broadcast live inside the O2.
The arrangement appears to have contributed to a significant ticket sales jump. WrestleTix reports 6,460 tickets distributed for the show, up 2,311 in eight days. The England vs. Ghana kickoff is at 9 PM BST, which aligns with the expected conclusion of the SmackDown taping. Cheapest standard admission is £71.80.
