WWE SmackDown airs tonight from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 8 PM ET on USA Network — CM Punk’s first appearance as the new Undisputed WWE Champion on the SmackDown brand he is now assigned to.
Punk won the title on Monday in Chicago, replacing Cody Rhodes in the main event after Gunther attacked Rhodes backstage and had him declared unfit to compete. Punk defeated Sami Zayn to win the championship. Tonight’s appearance marks his official introduction to SmackDown.
A Winner-Take-All match sees WWE World Tag Team Champions R-Truth and Damian Priest face the AAA World Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar). Finn Balor faces Tama Tonga after the Tonga brothers ambushed Balor backstage on the previous SmackDown. Trick Williams faces Carmelo Hayes in a non-title match, with Hayes having lobbied for a US title shot. Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Sami Zayn, Oba Femi, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton are also advertised.
