Tony D’Angelo will defend the NXT Championship against Naraku in a street fight next week, a rematch from Great American Bash. Reina Volcan will also make her in-ring debut on the July 21 show.
D’Angelo ran to the ring after Naraku beat Tate Wilder on Tuesday, and security could not keep the two apart. Backstage, D’Angelo said he wanted Naraku in the ring, and Robert Stone offered him the rematch next week. D’Angelo said he would not wait seven more days. The two brawled in the parking lot to close the show, after which Stone made the title match a street fight.
Saquon Shugars spent Tuesday’s show looking for tag team partners, with most turning him down over his Darkstate past. Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar agreed to team with him, with Moreno looking for an opportunity to get noticed. Nattie jumped Jaida Parker backstage to set up their rematch, and Shawn Spears called out Niko Vance after being attacked by him.
