Thunder Rosa will challenge for CMLL’s Mexican National Women’s Championship on July 31. Rosa earned the shot by winning a number one contender’s match Sunday night at Arena Mexico, beating Reyna Isis, Keyra, Garra Negra, Sanely, Skadi, Hera, and Olympia. The title is currently held by India Sioux.
Rosa has been a regular on both AEW and CMLL programming for most of 2026 after signing a dual contract in April. She recently took part in the Casino Gauntlet at Dynamite Beach Break, which was won by Willow Nightingale.
AEW stars have appeared frequently on CMLL over the past year. Late last month, Mistico and Mascara Dorada beat The Beast Mortos and Sammy Guevara in Mexico to win the ROH Tag Team Titles, with Mortos and Guevara having defended the belts in the country as Mortos dealt with visa issues that kept him out of the United States.
