Max Caster’s AEW future is uncertain, with his contract due to expire around October, according to a Fightful report. Sean Ross Sapp reported that Caster has not been seen backstage in recent months, has not been part of any creative plans lately, and that no talks about extending his deal have taken place.
Caster has been away from AEW television for several months while continuing to work on the independents. His last appearance for the company came in December 2025, in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal on the Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite.
Caster joined AEW in June 2020 and became a World Tag Team Champion during his run with The Acclaimed alongside Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn.
