MVP has denied a claim that The Hurt Syndicate did not want to put other wrestlers over in AEW.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said on The Hump that there have been “some situations where they haven’t wanted to” put people over. MVP responded on X on October 24.
“This is a blatant lie! ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE!!!!! Who is your source????” MVP wrote.
He followed up in another post.
“So I open up Twitter to see lies being reported about The Hurt Syndicate. BLATANT LIES!!! Who is the source of these lies? To the contrary, we wanted to work with younger talent! We wanted to drop the tag titles BACK to Private Party!!! STOP BELIEVING THE BS!”
Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin won the AEW World Tag Team Championship from Private Party in January 2025 and lost the titles to Bandido and Brody King at Forbidden Door in August 2025.
