LUCKY HORSESHOES PRESENT SPRINGFIELD POLICE CHIEF SCARLETTE BOBBLEHEADS TO BENEFIT COMPASS FOR KIDS

The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are excited to collaborate with the local Springfield Police Department to present bobbleheads of Police Chief Ken Scarlette to benefit Compass for Kids!

On Tuesday, July 16th, ‘Shoes fans will be able to claim their bobblehead of Chief Scarlette by purchasing a special ticket package with proceeds benefiting Compass for Kids. The cost will be $25 for a bobblehead and game ticket for that night’s game against the Burlington Bees. Alternatively, fans who already have a ticket for that night’s game may purchase the bobblehead as an add on for $15. Fans may not redeem the bobblehead add-on without a game ticket.

Chief Scarlette has dedicated more than 24 years to the Springfield Police Department, and in January of 2022, he assumed the role of Chief of Police. A North End native, he also contributed six years of service to the 183rd Security Forces Squadron in the Illinois Air National Guard.

Chief Scarlette is elated about being able to connect with the local community and helping an impactful local non-profit organization in the process.

“I am honored to be involved in this partnership with the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes. This collaboration not only brings our community together through the love of sports but also supports a meaningful cause. The development of a bobblehead featuring my likeness offers a distinctive and light-hearted avenue for connecting with our community, all while making meaningful contributions to the enhancement of Compass for Kids. Let’s swing for the fences in unity and generosity, creating a positive impact that goes well beyond the confines of the baseball field.”

Compass for Kids is a local not-for-profit organization changing the landscape of the local Springfield community. Through innovative after-school and summer programs, they provide resources and support to underserved children in Springfield Public Schools – District 186.

‘Shoes Chief Storyteller Jamie Toole is looking forward to the opportunity of working with both the Springfield Police Department and Compass for Kids.

“We are thrilled to partner with Chief Scarlette on this fun promotion to benefit Compass For Kids,” said Toole. “The Lucky Horseshoes strive to make an impact in our local community, and this one-of-a-kind opportunity is something we’re really looking forward to!”

Packages which include a bobblehead of Chief Scarlette and a Lucky Horseshoe game ticket on July 16th are on sale now, while supplies last.
