REPORT: Matt Hardy Becomes A Free Agent

AEW

Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select reports that Matt Hardy is now a free agent.

He initially debuted with the Broken Gimmick in March 2020, once he joined All Elite Wrestling. Hardy was a tag team star in the company for most of his AEW run with him later teaming up with his brother Jeff Hardy.

Recently, Hardy had been contemplating his future with AEW as of late. His deal expired in March.

There were rumors circulating within the promotion that AEW extended Hardy’s deal for a few weeks leading up to WrestleMania, although the reason behind this decision remains unknown. Despite discussions between both parties, Hardy ultimately chose to let his contract expire.
