Matt Cardona suffered a torn pectoral muscle injury, which has forced him to be out of action. Originally, he was scheduled to compete at wXw Germany’s Drive of Champions show in June. However, he recently shared on Twitter that he had to undergo surgery.
After leaving WWE in 2020, Cardona has been thriving in the wrestling industry, finding success in multiple promotions. Just last month, he made an appearance in AEW’s Collision event, where he took on Adam Copeland for the TNT Championship.
“Surgery done. The road to recovery starts now. Thanks to all who reached out. Thanks to @ImChelseaGreen for being by my side. Thanks to @DarylOsbahrMD for fixing me. You can’t kill me…I’m already dead.”
We wish him a speedy recovery.
