Eddie Kingston Injury Update And It’s Not Good

After his loss to Gabe Kidd in a No Rope Last Man Standing match at NJPW Resurgence, Eddie Kingston had a staredown with Jack Perry, only to be ambushed by The Young Bucks. The AEW EVPs laid out Kingston using the EVP trigger.

Darby Allin will step in for Kingston to join forces with Bryan Danielson and FTR in a showdown against The Elite in an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024.

Kingston was diagnosed with a torn ACL and meniscus. As per a Pwinsider report, Kingston consulted with surgeons today, who decided that he will likely not undergo surgery for his ACL and meniscus tears until at least July. He was advised to wait for his tibular fracture to heal before commencing physical therapy, after which his knee issues can be addressed.

Following the operation, it is expected to take approximately ten months for Kingston to return to the ring, with a potential comeback slated for around May 2025. We extend our well wishes to Kingston for a speedy recovery.
