Buddy Matthews appeared to have injured his knee during the June 15th episode of AEW Collision. He had to be assisted backstage by medical personnel. Matthews was ambushed by Christian Cage and the Patriarchy before being hit with a con-chair-to.
According to PW Insider, the injury was staged for the storyline because Matthews will be taking a break to go on vacation with his wife, Rhea Ripley, in Australia.
It’s unclear when he will be back on TV.
