The latest expected addition to AEW’s roster is Ricochet, who was recently moved from WWE’s active roster page to the alumni section on WWE.com. Ricochet wrapped up his time on WWE TV last month before parting ways with the company.
Ricochet’s contract with WWE expired at midnight on July 1, making him a free agent. However, this prevented him from appearing at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event. Sources from both WWE and AEW anticipate that Ricochet will join AEW.
According to Fightful Select, “Ricochet’s agent was backstage at AEW this week, and we’re told had been leading the subsequent talks between the two sides.” Ricochet’s agent also represents several other WWE and AEW talent.
