There Was An AEW Star Knocked Out During Collision Match

AEW

This week’s AEW Collision episode was filmed before the Saturday broadcast, as it was recorded last Wednesday after Dynamite in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

In the episode, there was a frightening incident when Dalton Castle was actually knocked out during his match with Roderick Strong. It happened when Strong landed a jumping knee strike to Castle’s jaw, causing him to fall to the mat. The referee had to count the pinfall with a few camera cuts.

As a result, Strong earned the opportunity to challenge Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Title at Death Before Dishonor. Dave Meltzer discussed this scary moment on Wrestling Observer Radio.
