WWE’s Bobby Lashley & MVP Believed To Be AEW-Bound

WWE

Fans the news of Bobby Lashley and MVP’s departure from WWE, speculating that they may be heading to AEW to revive The Hurt Business alongside Shelton Benjamin.

However, the group won’t be complete without Cedric Alexander, who is still under contract with WWE and has been teaming up with Ashante Thee Adonis in dark matches. When the news first came out, it was only mentioned that Lashley and MVP were leaving soon, without any further details.

According to PWInsider.com, MVP’s contract is set to expire in mid-August, and there have been no discussions about a new deal. As for Lashley, WWE presented him with an offer, but it wasn’t compelling enough for him to immediately accept, as per a source. The exact expiration date of Lashley’s contract remains uncertain.

The report also mentioned that there were talks about potentially utilizing Lashley as a Producer or announcer, but nothing materialized in either capacity, despite some tryouts at some point. MVP is still listed under the Misc. section of WWE’s internal talent list.

There might be some obstacles in using the group’s name since WWE still holds the trademark rights.
