Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo are preparing for their comebacks in the ring. Melo had been out due to a back injury and then took time off for maternity leave after having their first child in November. Melo resumed her in-ring training in May.
Guevara, on the other hand, has been sidelined since AEW suspended him earlier this year following an incident with Jeff Hardy. During a Rampage match in February, Hardy got injured when he took a knee to the head on a shooting star press while working with Guevara.
After the match with Hardy, Guevara had a no-DQ match with Powerhouse Hobbs before getting suspended for not following the concussion protocol.
Guevara recently posted on Twitter to support his wife and mention that they are both getting ready for their returns.
Just wanna say this mama right here is doing such a great job.
We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in. Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife!
