News On The Unprotected Chair Shot In AEW Blood & Guts Match

AEW

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW hosted the Blood & Guts Match for the fourth consecutive year, with Team AEW facing off against The Elite.

In the match, Jack Perry was handcuffed to the cage and received a chair shot to the head from Mark Briscoe. The babyfaces went over in the end. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, the chair used was a gimmicked.

Wrestlers getting hit in the head with chairs, whether it’s safe or not, is not something we see often anymore due to the known risks of brain injuries like CTE.
