Bret Hart Thinks Being Part Of Owen Hart Foundation Tournament ‘Might Ruffle WWE Feathers’

WWE

AEW launched the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament in 2022 alongside Martha Hart to honor the legacy of her late husband Owen Hart, who lost his life in a tragic accident in 1999 while making an entrance at WWE Over The Edge.

His brother, Bret Hart, has never been associated with the tournament. He did make an appearance in AEW in 2019 to present the World Heavyweight Title.

During a virtual signing with Signed By Superstars, Bret explained why he’s never been back in AEW for the tournament.

On whether he’s been asked to be part of it: “No. Never asked me,” he said.

On if he would do it:, “I’d have to think about it. I like Tony. I’d be happy to help out. I don’t know if I would want to go down. I think it might ruffle WWE’s feathers. I get everything tied in through them. Then again, it can’t hurt to ask.”
