Tony Khan & Shane McMahon Had Private Meeting This Week

WWE/AEW

Tony Khan and Shane McMahon have met.

Talk of McMahon going to AEW started when Conrad Thompson shared on Grilling JR that he got a message from a buddy saying Shane McMahon has been in touch with AEW wrestlers to discuss the possibility of joining the promotion. It was purely in a hypothetical way. This is after Jim Ross said that he didn’t think the idea of McMahon appearing in AEW was as “crazy as you think.”

Dave Meltzer reported people from the AEW side who should know about this either haven’t heard anything or have only heard what Thompson said.

WrestleTalk and Fightful shared today that Khan and McMahon met privately on Monday at a secluded airport in Arlington. During this meeting, they talked about potential future opportunities.

Fightful mentioned that Khan had been willing to have discussions with McMahon for some time. However, it was thought that they hadn’t actually spoken until the recent rumors about McMahon possibly joining AEW surfaced.

The AEW President has reportedly been very receptive to the idea of collaborating with McMahon for several weeks and has shown that he’s open to conversations about it whenever people bring it up backstage.
