Jim Ross recently talked about a wide range of topics on his Grilling JR podcast.
During the podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed Michael Cole as an announcer in WWE.
“When I started with the company, I was in a no-win situation. I was brought in to be the heir apparent of probably the greatest wrestling announcer of all time, Jim Ross.”
Ross added that Cole was “shoved in my chair to take over while I was healing” from a Bells Palsy attack. He said,
“People didn’t like him from the beginning because they thought he was taking my job. He does his job today better than I did my job then.“
