National Wrestling Alliance Signs Trevor Murdoch to Exclusive Contract
A Two-Time National Wrestling Alliance World’s Heavyweight Champion Is Staying with Pro Wrestling’s Most Legendary Promotion!
The National Wrestling Alliance has signed Trevor Murdoch to an exclusive contract. A 25-year in-ring veteran, the Missouri native has twice held the coveted NWA World’s Heavyweight title.
“Trevor Murdoch has virtually come to epitomize the National Wrestling Alliance in the Lightning One Era,” says NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli.
“Whether in the ring or as a ‘locker room leader,’ he’s a cornerstone of this company that we’re happy to say will be with us for quite some time,” Galli continues.
“From his direct ties to NWA legend Harley Race, to being a two-time World’s Heavyweight champion,” he says of the signing, “Trevor links the NWA of old to the incredible brand of wrestling it is today.”
Murdoch’s accomplishment extend beyond twice claiming “The Ten Pounds of Gold.” He’s also a former National Heavyweight champion and captured the prestigious Crockett Cup with partner Mike Knox in 2023.
It’s a tag team grudge match when Knox & Murdoch face Kerry Morton & Alex Taylor of The Southern Six at NWA 76, Aug. 31 in Philadelphia. Tickets on sale now.
August 31, when NWA 76 comes to Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, Knox & Murdoch revive their feud with The Southern Six. In a battle of Crockett Cup winners. The duo face 2024 champions Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton.
