AEW Star Has Still Not Signed A New Contract

Last month on Dynamite, Daniel Garcia was taken off television after MJF attacked him right after Garcia lost to Will Ospreay in the match for the AEW International Championship.

Back in 2021, WWE showed interest in signing Garcia, but he chose to join AEW instead. It’s uncertain if WWE still wants him now. According to reports from Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez, people in AEW believe Garcia will continue with the company.

Fightful Select has mentioned that Garcia’s contract with AEW is set to end in October. A prominent figure in AEW thinks he will stay and even speculated just last week that he might re-sign.

As of now, though, he hasn’t signed a new contract. If he decides not to re-sign, his current deal will run out this fall. Both WWE and AEW are interested in keeping Daniel Garcia.
