AEW Could Extend Contract Of Star Who Has WWE Interest

The contracts of the Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) are set to expire soon, and WWE has expressed interest in acquiring their services.

According to Fightful, sources indicate that the Lucha Bros. are likely to leave AEW but are keen on joining WWE as a pair.

In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that there are concerns regarding AEW’s right to extend Fenix’s contract for an additional year due to his time away from the ring due to injuries.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced indicating that Penta was traveling to Orlando, FL, prompting speculation among fans that he might be visiting the WWE Performance Center, which is located in that city, despite still being under contract with AEW.

However, AEW star addressed the speculation through Twitter, with Penta stating, “no more gossip! my present is aew!”
