Backstage Update On Young Bucks’ Recent Absence From AEW TV

Recently, fans have been buzzing about the Young Bucks’ absence from AEW programming.

Their storyline had been a major highlight, especially leading up to the Blood & Guts match, but things have quieted down since then. Bryan Alvarez mentioned that the Young Bucks are currently on a limited schedule with AEW, which could explain why they haven’t been appearing on TV every week.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer shared that their two-week absence was planned well in advance. They were scheduled to take time off to recover from injuries sustained during the Blood & Guts match. Similarly, Okada also missed the last two Wednesdays. The Bucks had arranged a family vacation a while back, intending to take a break after the intense match.

Meltzer also pointed out that their new contract requires them to work fewer dates compared to their previous one, and AEW is being careful not to use up too many of their dates early in the year
