On the latest episode of the “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, the TNA star discussed a wide range of topics.
During the podcast, Hardy noted that Christian Cage’s TNA run has helped him in the long run.
“It just put equity into his persona and showed that just because he wasn’t under the employment of Vince McMahon, that he could go somewhere else and he could be a top guy, he could be a star, he could put the promotion on his back and he could hold his own. He carried the promotion as champion and that’s what he did, I think that was his whole mission, that was his whole game plan whenever he went to TNA. You know, I was very very close to ending up in TNA right before he went and it’s funny, I think we both had that same mindsets I know too he said that ultimately his goal was he wanted to come back to WWE and he hoped that would, you know, once he optimized his equity that it would allow him to do it in the WWE as well,” Hardy said.
