Bryan Danielson went over Swerve Strickland in a career versus title match that served as the main event of the AEW All In London 2024 pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium.
During Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, Bryan announced that he intends to retire from full-time wrestling after losing the World Heavyweight Title.
According to reports from Dave Meltzer, there have been significant discussions regarding the possibility of Allin winning the title in the near future. Jon Moxley challenged him during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
Dave Meltzer reported the following in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“I think the idea is that if Allin wins the title from Danielson, which has been at least strongly talked about, whether in New York or Tacoma (Allin, Strickland and Danielson are all from the state of Washington), the somewhat clean loss does allow for Perry to be in line for a title shot. I’m not sold on that as a PPV main event, especially since this match didn’t leave you with the idea of badly wanting to see them again.”
