Grab tickets at http://www.MLWLIVE.com and at Ticketmaster starting at $15.

MLW is set to make history as two of its most dominant champions collide in an Opera Cup Semi-Final match that promises to be an explosive battle of styles, skill, and legacy. MLW FIGHTLAND’24 will feature MLW World Middleweight Champion Místico taking on MLW National Openweight Champion Bad Dude Tito Escondido in a first-of-its-kind tournament match. While no titles are on the line, the stakes have never been higher for these decorated fighters, as a victory will propel one of them to the Opera Cup Finals later that night.

Streaming live and free worldwide on MLW’s YouTube channel, FIGHTLAND will showcase the Opera Cup Semi-Finals and Finals in a one-night extravaganza on September 14 from Atlanta’s iconic Center Stage.

Místico, who has had an extraordinary 2024, winning the World Middleweight Championship in February and headlining a record-setting event at Cicero Stadium in May, has been on a roll throughout the Opera Cup tournament. The iconic luchador dazzled in his opening-round victory against Magnus and continued his stellar run by defeating Atlantis Jr. in the quarterfinals. Místico now stands on the brink of becoming the first Mexican wrestler to win the Opera Cup—a title that dates back to the tournament’s origins in the 1800s.

Standing in his path is the formidable Bad Dude Tito Escondido, a powerhouse known for his rugged style and relentless aggression. Tito, the MLW National Openweight Champion, has carved out a reputation for overcoming high-flying luchadores, having recently returned from a successful tour of CMLL. A victory at FIGHTLAND would make Tito the first Panamanian-born wrestler to ever hoist the historic Opera Cup, adding another prestigious accolade to his storied career.

The match between Místico and Tito promises to be a classic clash of styles—Místico’s high-flying, lucha libre artistry versus Tito’s brute strength and punishing offense. The question on everyone’s mind: How will Místico contend with Tito’s size and power? Both champions are determined to etch their names in Opera Cup history, knowing that their legacies are on the line.

The winner of this bout will advance to the Opera Cup Finals later that same night to face either KENTA or TJP in the main event of FIGHTLAND. With so much on the line, the stakes have never been higher, and the action promises to be unforgettable.

The Opera Cup, the oldest tournament in professional wrestling, dates back to the 1880s when it was originally contested in grand opera houses. After a 70-year hiatus, the tournament returned in 2019 and has since become an annual showcase of the best wrestling talent MLW has to offer. As competitors vie for the prestigious antique Opera Cup trophy, the question remains: Who will etch their name into the history books and claim one of wrestling’s most revered prizes?
