Chris Jericho Files For Catchphrase Trademark

Chris Jericho has recently obtained a new trademark. He submitted a request for the phrase ‘Hi Guys’ to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This trademark is part of his ongoing Learning Tree gimmick, where he uses this phrase to kick off his promos. Jericho kicked off this gimmick in March when he attempted to create a mentor-student dynamic with Hook. He later brought in Big Bill and Bryan Keith, but Hook ended up resisting the idea.The trademark covers:

“Hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts

Entertainment in the form of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, including wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, such as live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, including personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, like televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information through a global computer network; Offering online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”
