MLW issued the following:

AKIRA Battles Ikuro Kwon in a Taipei Death Match this Saturday in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA – Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced a Taipei Death match: AKIRA vs. Ikuro Kwon at the beIN SPORTS TV taping portion of MLW FIGHTLAND’24 this Saturday, September 14 at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA and presented live on YouTube.

— Grab tickets at MLWLIVE.com and at Ticketmaster starting at $15.

What happens when “The Death Fighter” AKIRA and Ikuro Kwon’s fists are taped, dipped into glue, and coated in crushed shards of glass?

MLW presents a bloody and brutal death match as “The Death Fighter” AKIRA takes on newly crowned MLW World Tag Team Champion Ikuro Kwon of CONTRA Unit in a notoriously dangerous Taipei Death Match.

With fists taped, dipped in glue, and coated with jagged glass, this vicious encounter promises to leave both fighters mutilated and forever scarred. Filmed exclusively for beIN SPORTS, this match will air at a later date.

AKIRA, a relentless warrior who has proudly waved the MLW flag, now seeks retribution against Kwon and CONTRA Unit after being ambushed in the War Chamber back in March. With vengeance burning in his heart, AKIRA is determined to inflict pain and suffering on the man who dethroned his friends Satoshi Kojima and Okumura for the MLW World Tag Team Titles just last month in New York City. The Death Fighter’s quest to tear down CONTRA’s dominance escalates in Atlanta in this high-stakes death match.

This Taipei Death Match is not just a fight; it’s a savage spectacle that will test the limits of a fighter’s threshold for pain. The consequences are real, with every strike threatening to permanently maim and mutilate. Blood, brutality, and broken bodies will define this rivalry as AKIRA and Ikuro Kwon step into a match where survival isn’t guaranteed, and victory comes at the cost of unimaginable pain.

Get your tickets now at MLWLive.com or Ticketmaster and see it go down Saturday, September 14 in Atlanta.
Matches will be announced at MLW.com.

Tickets start at $15 at Ticketmaster and MLWLive.com. Tickets will also be available day of show at the box office unless the event sales out in advance.
