Jeff Jarrett recently talked about a wide range of topics on his My World podcast.
During the podcast, the AEW star discussed the state of today’s wrestling.
“Without question, the opportunities that exist today. I believe there’s more opportunity today in professional wrestling. I know that’s a very broad [statement], but whether it’s promoting shows, running shows, action figures, video games, streaming opportunities, the almighty social media strategy that continues to evolve, you can just kind of look — I don’t care if it’s CMLL, AAA, New Japan, other promotions in Japan that are popping up, UK. India opportunity is the last frontier I’d say in a lot of ways. The possibilities are endless and that is something that I am well aware of. In 2002, launching TNA, yeah there was an opportunity but I mean it was such a different path. 2013, when I resigned from TNA, there was opportunity but it was still, I think the business was just in a different place. Fast forward eleven years later, the landscape, entertainment is very very different. The music business is different, look at Amazon Prime and Apple and Netflix and linear television and everything goes with it. The world of professional wrestling, there’s never been more opportunity in this business then there is today and that is absolutely what I’m most excited about.”
