Kyle Fletcher: The Undertaker Character Worked In The Past. I Don’t Think It Works Quite As Well Today

Kyle Fletcher recently did an interview with SENQ Breakfast, during which he discussed a wide range of topics.

During the interview, he shared his take that he doesn’t think The Undertaker gimmick would’ve worked today.

“In today’s day and age in pro wrestling, it’s a lot more based in reality. The characters you see on TV, part of the thing that makes them so special is a lot people can relate to those characters. They can relate to wanting to punch their boss in the face or those kinds of things as opposed to a supernatural character like the Undertaker. It’s very much contextual-based. Back in the day, The Undertaker worked and became one of the biggest characters of all-time. I don’t think it works quite as well in this day and age,” said Fletcher.
