AEW Grand Slam: Australia Broadcast Plans

AEW is coming to Brisbane, Australia, with AEW Grand Slam: Australia on Saturday, February 15th. The event was originally slated to take place at Suncorp Stadium. AEW will host the event at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

AEW announced during this week’s episode of Dynamite that Grand Slam: Australia is scheduled to broadcast at 8 PM Eastern on TNT and Max on February 15th. However, a scheduling conflict arose as TNT is set to air “All Star Saturday Night” at the same time.

In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported the following:

“On the 1/15 Dynamite show, they advertised the Grand Slam Australia show on 2/15 is Brisbane as airing on TNT and MAX at 8 p.m. Eastern. However, the NBA All-Star Saturday night show airs on TNT at 8 p.m. Eastern that night. Right now the plan is for the Grand Slam show to air on TNT after the NBA coverage, which in theory would give it a gigantic lead-in but would be airing very late. The show itself would start at around 2:30 a.m. Eastern time late Friday night, so it would be like a 21 hour or so tape delay. We don’t know if MAX will carry it live or at the same time as TNT, but I’d expect it would be the same time. NXT is doing its Vengeance Day show on 2/15, which would go head-to-head with the NBA All-Star Saturday night unless it will be moved earlier in the day.”
