AEW star Ricky Starks continues to make waves in the independent wrestling scene, appearing at House of Glory’s (HOG) “Watch The Throne” event on Friday night in his promotional debut. Starks faced TNA star Mike Santana, with the match ending in a disqualification. Despite the lack of a clean finish, the match marked another significant step in Starks’ growing presence outside of AEW.
Starks has been notably absent from AEW programming since March 2024, despite not being sidelined by injury. During his absence, he has taken bookings with independent promotions such as Glory Pro WrestlePocalypse and now HOG. He is also scheduled to appear at DEFY Wrestling’s Hundredth event, continuing to expand his presence outside of AEW. However, his pulled bookings for GCW following the Effy controversy have drawn some attention and criticism.
