AEW Dynasty 2025 Date And location Announced

AEW

AEW has officially revealed the date and location for its upcoming Dynasty pay-per-view event. The show is set to take place on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, marking AEW’s first-ever pay-per-view in the state of Pennsylvania.

Tickets for the event will go on general sale starting Friday, February 3rd, 2025.

Tony Khan on Philadelphia as the Host City

Speaking with The Inquirer, AEW CEO and head of creative Tony Khan expressed his excitement about bringing a major AEW pay-per-view to the historic wrestling city of Philadelphia:

“Philadelphia has been a great home for AEW and really all of pro wrestling for many years. The energy is tremendous, and we’ve always wanted to have a pay-per-view event there. AEW Dynasty is going to be a great pay-per-view in a great city at an arena where we have a great history of putting on awesome events. It’s the perfect place to make a pay-per-view debut.”

The Liacouras Center, located on the campus of Temple University, has hosted several AEW events in the past, including highly regarded episodes of Dynamite and Rampage, building a strong relationship between the company and the city’s passionate wrestling fanbase.

What to Expect from AEW Dynasty

  • Philadelphia Wrestling Legacy: Philadelphia has long been recognized as a wrestling hotbed, home to promotions like ECW and countless legendary matches. AEW’s decision to debut a pay-per-view there highlights the city’s significance in wrestling history.
  • AEW’s Return to Tradition: The name Dynasty suggests a focus on showcasing AEW’s top talent and long-term storytelling, potentially leading to climactic rivalries or major faction wars.
  • High-Profile Matches: Fans can expect AEW’s biggest stars—such as MJF, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, The Elite, and others—to be featured on the card.

The Liacouras Center’s Wrestling History with AEW

The Liacouras Center has become a go-to venue for AEW events in the Northeast. The arena provides an intimate yet energetic setting, with a capacity of approximately 10,000 for wrestling events. Past AEW shows in Philadelphia have consistently delivered strong crowd reactions, which promises to elevate the Dynasty pay-per-view to new heights.

Final Thoughts

AEW Dynasty promises to be a landmark event for both the company and its fans in Philadelphia. With its reputation for delivering top-tier wrestling pay-per-views, AEW is likely to capitalize on the city’s passionate fanbase and historic ties to the industry. As anticipation builds, tickets are expected to sell quickly when they go on sale in early February.

For Philadelphia wrestling fans, April 6th, 2025, is shaping up to be a must-see event!
