The match came on the heels of weeks of animosity between the two teams. The Hurt Syndicate interrupted Private Party’s celebration on a recent episode of Dynamite, where MVP proposed a toast, declaring that Lashley and Benjamin would soon be the AEW Tag Team Champions.
The clash was largely one-sided, with Lashley and Benjamin overpowering the champions before securing the win and claiming the titles.
