John Cena’s WWE Absence Explained

John Cena’s WWE retirement tour kicked off with a bang on January 6th, the night of the Raw on Netflix premiere. He not only declared his entry into the Royal Rumble but also vowed to win it, aiming to break the record for most World Title reigns.

However, Cena has been absent from WWE television ever since, leaving fans wondering about his whereabouts.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cena has been busy filming the movie “Matchbox” this month. This action-adventure comedy, directed by Sam Hargrave and starring Cena alongside Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, and others, has kept him away from WWE TV.
