Jeff Jarrett Sets His Sights Set On Gold

AEW

Jeff Jarrett has inserted himself into the controversy surrounding the vacant AAA Tag Team Titles. Following AAA Lucha Libre’s announcement on March 19th that the titles were being vacated due to the inactivity of former champions Raj Dhesi and Satnam Singh, who hadn’t defended them since August 2024, Jarrett took to social media to address the situation. He revealed that he is currently in possession of the championship belts and intends to appear at AAA Rey de Reyes with a partner to defend them.

Jarrett expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, stating that the lack of title defenses “didn’t sit right” with him. He further claimed that he had attempted to contact AAA officials regarding the titles but was met with silence. This action sets up a potential storyline at the Rey de Reyes event, and it is unclear if this is a work, or a legitimate issue.
