The following is a list of news, notes, and rumors from the pro wrestling world:
Wrestling Rumors
WrestleVotes, on “Backstage Pass,” reported that Nia Jax is on WWE’s internal “inactive list” because she “has not been cleared for action,” explaining her absence from television. They noted her return was expected a few weeks ago but offered no speculation on the delay. Also on the show, they mentioned “heavy discussions” about a WWE premium live event in Mexico, though its official status remains unknown.
Fightful Select confirmed that Jay White was removed from the Owen Hart Tournament due to a real injury requiring surgery. The site lacked specifics, but noted AEW had to make “significant creative changes” as a result.
There’s speculation that AEW’s All In: Texas early start time was chosen to avoid a scheduling conflict with a WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, initially listed on Peacock for July 12th.
WrestleVotes also revealed that a planned SmackDown segment, featuring Nick Aldis introducing Andrade to a new talent, was cut. This segment suggested potential plans for an Andrade versus Rey Fenix match, though WrestleVotes is unsure if those plans are still in place.
