NJPW Windy City Riot 2025 Card
This Friday, April 11th, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) is set to electrify Chicago with Windy City Riot 2025, a card packed with high-stakes matchups and international wrestling talent. The event’s main event will see IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hirooki Goto defend his title against the rising star, Shota Umino.
Adding a layer of historical significance to the event, Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Konosuke Takeshita in what has been billed as Tanahashi’s final match on United States soil. NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd will put his title on the line against Tomohiro Ishii in a grueling 30-minute Iron Man Match, promising a test of endurance and skill. The NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships will also be defended, as Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson of World Class Wrecking Crew face the challenge of the Intergalactic Jet Setters, Kevin Knight and KUSHIDA.
The Windy City Riot card also features a series of compelling singles matches. David Finlay will clash with Zack Sabre Jr., while Tetsuya Naito and Titan will team up to take on Rocky Romero and El Phantasmo. A pivotal women’s match will see AZM and Mina Shirakawa battle for the opportunity to become the top contender to NJPW Strong Openweight Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone. Other matches on the card include TJP vs. Tom Lawlor, and Zane Jay vs. CJ Tino.
