New AEW Trademarks Filed

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is taking steps to protect potential future branding by applying for trademark rights to two distinct terms: “AEW Summer Blockbuster” and “Paragon.”

According to records from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, AEW filed the application for both terms on April 15th. The filing specifies that the trademarks are intended for use in connection with entertainment services.

The official description provided in the trademark filing outlines the scope of these services as: “Conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of professional wrestling exhibits and performances by professional wrestlers, namely, performances by a tag team of wrestlers during professional wrestling events; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances.” This broad description covers the core activities of AEW’s professional wrestling business.

The “Paragon” trademark is already established as the new moniker for Adam Cole’s faction, The Undisputed Kingdom, which also includes Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong. Securing this trademark likely aims to protect the group’s branding and merchandise opportunities.

The “AEW Summer Blockbuster” trademark suggests a potential name for an upcoming major event or series of shows taking place during the summer months. This could be the title of a special edition of their flagship show, Dynamite, or a specific branding for a string of events throughout the summer season, indicating AEW’s plans for significant programming during that period.
