AEW Star’s Absence Could Be Lengthy Due to Torn Quad

Brian Cage’s absence from AEW may be more prolonged than initially anticipated.

While a knee injury was initially suspected in March, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cage is actually dealing with a torn quad, an injury that typically requires around a year of recovery. Meltzer stated, “Regarding Brian Cage, it appears his injury was a torn quad and not a knee injury. That’s usually a one year recuperation period but he’s vowing to come back quicker.”

The injury occurred during an independent show in Los Angeles against Chris Masters when Cage’s leg buckled during a spinebuster.
