Wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes has shared a significant final career goal he hopes to achieve before eventually retiring from in-ring competition. “The Natural,” whose career has spanned several decades and multiple major promotions, still has one particular aspiration he is passionate about pursuing in AEW.
Speaking about the twilight of his career, Rhodes revealed his desire for a meaningful championship run. “Before I hang up my boots for good, there’s one thing I still really want to accomplish, and that’s to have one last, legitimate run with a singles championship in AEW,” Rhodes stated. He emphasized it wasn’t just about holding gold, but the story it would represent.
“It’s not about collecting another title, but about proving to myself and to the fans that even at this stage, I can still go with the best and tell a compelling story as a champion,” he explained. “To have that moment, to give back to the AEW audience in that way, that would be the perfect final chapter for me. It’s the one last mountain I want to climb.” This goal underscores Rhodes’ enduring passion for the business and his desire for a memorable conclusion to his storied career.
