Reacting to news that several AAA talents are reportedly signing new, distinct contracts with WWE following WWE’s acquisition of the Mexican promotion, Jeff Jarrett expressed some surprise at the process.

“Does that mean every triple A talent contract was non transferable? I just assumed in the acquisition, they were all under WWE deals moving forward,” Jarrett mused. “They’ve acquired it less than a month ago, and they’re signing them to new deals. Okay, I understand that. I just assumed that on the acquisition, that in totality, in the due diligence… I would assume the level of sophistication that TKO is they hired a pretty high powered and very expensive Mexican law firm. And I just would think that all of this would have been done pre acquisition, like contingent… Maybe they didn’t do it that way, I don’t know. Doesn’t, doesn’t sound like they did it that way. But that’s a surprise to me.”
