Bishop Dyer, formerly Baron Corbin in WWE, recently voiced his support for AEW star Will Ospreay’s candid remarks about his personal preferences regarding WWE’s product. Ospreay had stated in an interview that while he respects WWE, he doesn’t personally enjoy watching its style. Dyer discussed this on “Busted Open Radio.”
Dyer praised Ospreay’s approach, stating, “I love the comments. He backs up his comments. He’s not burying anyone. He’s not burying a company.” He noted Ospreay even clarified he has no issue with Triple H, despite past comments from the WWE CCO that could have been perceived as a shot. “He even talks about Triple H. He doesn’t know him, he’s not taking shots at him, even though I think Triple H has taken a shot at him before. I think Hunter said one time ‘I don’t want guys who don’t want to work all the time.’”
Dyer then supported Ospreay’s pride in his current promotion, AEW. “So I’m behind what he said. It offends me zero. It shouldn’t offend anyone,” Dyer continued. “He’s taken pride in his place. He said it in his promo last night… ‘This is where it’s at.’ And I think it’s a great guy to have the flag and plant that flag in the center of the ring and say ‘Come get it you sons of b*tches.’” Dyer clearly respects Ospreay’s forthright and passionate representation of his brand.
