Former TNA Name Confirms AEW Role

Former WWE and TNA Wrestling announcer Josh Mathews has taken on a new job behind the scenes in AEW, working in production. Mathews talked about his duties with AEW during a chat on Maven Huffman’s YouTube channel.

His job includes helping communication flow better between AEW’s production team and the producers and agents for the matches. Mathews said he is currently learning from AEW’s Head of Global Production, Mike Mansury. He explained his busy schedule: “Right now, [I’m] shadowing Mike Mansury. So, I’ll do the Ring of Honor matches before, then I’ll sit and watch [AEW] Collision, then do the Ring of Honor matches after. It’ll be a busy night.”

Mathews is not the only one in his family working with AEW. His wife, Madison Rayne, has been a part of the company’s backstage team since 2022, helping to coach the women’s division.
