AEW star Scorpio Sky, who hasn’t been featured since a return vignette in August 2023 was not followed up on, recently opened up about his extended absence on his “Creating Character” podcast. Sky candidly acknowledged the downturn, stating, “My career has sure taken a nosedive, hasn’t it?”
He suggested that an interview with Chris Van Vliet, where he was careful not to criticize AEW, might have ironically led to problems. “I definitely went out of my way to not make the company look bad… Come to find out, someone there, still, maybe has a few issues with some of the things I may have said,” Sky explained. This has led to a new resolve: “Now I’m like, ‘Screw it, I’m going to say whatever the hell I want now.’”
Sky admitted wondering about perceptions but confirmed, “I know I’m healthy… and I’ve been wanting to compete,” lamenting his limited control.
